About Me

Hi there & welcome to Annie's Place. A place inspired by and named after my late Grandmother Annie. Somewhere I can be creative, and share my love for all things handmade. I like nothing better than sitting with hook & yarn, crafting something home spun & completely unique, or rustling up some yummy baked goodies. I live in a town with a beautiful embankment, situated on the River Great Ouse. You may know me as CosyKitty on Ravelry. Why not stop a while.....?!!

Wrest Park & Relaxation

What a glorious week we've had thus far! Having the opportunity to really get out and enjoy the warm weather has been so uplifting. It's moments like this that I start daydreaming of long sunny days at the beach, feeling the sand between my toes. Leisurely walks along the promenade, ice-cream in hand.

Until then I shall continue to enjoy the lovely surrounds closer to home. I thought I'd share a few snaps from my recent trip to Wrest Park. I thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the house and grounds. It's a stunning location; quite magical. You really do feel like you've stepped back in time there, and being only a short 15 minute drive from home I will no doubt revisit many times in the coming months.

I've also been enjoying a bit of outdoor hooky time. Oh yes, it's one of my favourite things to do. Any opportunity I get I'm on my bike (a very generous birthday gift, thank you Sis) and down by the river. I'm still working on my big blanket. It's a labour of love. One that I'm determined to finish. When though is anyone's guess! I love crocheting, but I am SO SLOW.

Well, I must dash. The cupboards won't fill themselves.
Love to all

    1. Thanks Janet, glad you like the pics. It was bright and warm but very very windy that day. Hopefully next time I visit it'll be calm and still :)

  6. That looks like a great place to visit. I'm also crocheting a big blanket - about two thirds done now. I've already started the ice-cream eating even though we haven't reached summer yet.
